From handling pages to building brands, our journey

It all started with One client. One analyst. One designer. And so, the first step of setting right a tangled ball of string began in August 2017, where all founders met, Wisdom Business Academy. It was only a means of “handling’’ social media platforms, with absolutely no idea of digital marketing, tools and tricks.

We were only a baby that was given a new toy. We started off with handling the platforms like we would handle our own personal feed. Spontaneous, no “target audience” , no strategy, no campaigns, nothing !

“Aaqi” was the first ever page manager, aka Social Media Analyst. As she describes, I quote “I wanted to build an audience. Interactive content.” That is a good place to start, I agree. But what’s next ? There was nothing else lined up. We only generated “likes and shares” of around 50 users. That is of course getting our own friends to like the page.

There was absolutely no monetary return of us trying to untangle this mess. It was focus, vision and versatility that drove us to do our research, experiment new things, look over the competitors and become the unfair advantage.

String by string we discovered new ways. New ways of “creating content”. New ways of “boosting engagement and reach”. New ways of “targeting the right audience”. And new ways of bringing together team Ikon.

A year and half later, our first tangled ball of string generates a weekly engagement by 174%. Page reach by 200% . (Actual insights) The instagram fam started from just us few and now passing it’s 2000th milestone. The facebook page has grown to 22,000 over the time we started untangling. ( Ps: Strictly no Bots! )

If I said that each knot was an obstacle in getting our audience and the string was what we tried to do to untangle it, for the time we’ve been in this maze, we’ve come so close in untangling the knots, but still so far away from finishing it all.

There are knots we can predict and knots that pop out of nowhere ! (Which would be the case most of the time) So we understood and experimented what the best approach , content , deisgns are for what platforms. It’s like you won’t wear a high slit, revealing, body con party dress for church right?

We’ve turned the weaknesses into strengths and turned threats into opportunities. We started analysing real statistics and changed numbers upside down. We broke through their traditional marketing methods and became their full time marketing strategy.

This is the 21st century ! You cannot do everything on your own. Take that extra risk and reach out to new ideas. The possibilities are limitless now. It’s time that you get Ikonized too !
